For the Tuesday, Nov. 4 Shocker men’s basketball game, a number of lots in the vicinity of Charles Koch Arena will be reserved for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization parking beginning at 3:30 p.m. During this time, signage will be in place alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes.

Anyone previously parked in these lots will need to move their cars by 3:30 p.m. Any unauthorized parking in a game day lot carries a $50 citation fine.

Road striping work will continue on campus starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, weather permitting. One lane traffic will remain open, but expect delays and plan ahead if you will be on campus during this time. The following are areas that will be impacted:

  • Perimeter Road at Shocker Hall to Mike Oatman Drive and near the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex
  • North Yale Avenue
  • Harvard Avenue and 17th Street

Lot 41, the parking lot near Woolsey Hall, will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 29 for an event in the building and is scheduled to reopen in the early afternoon. Faculty and staff that typically park in this lot will need to park in other yellow lots in the area of the building. The YMCA lot is not available for faculty, staff or event guest parking and could result in a citation.

The purpose of lot reservations is to help accommodate large groups of guests visiting campus for events or the event itself. Lot reservations are not to be used for WSU affiliates. Remember, visitors to campus can park without an ePermit up to three times each semester.

Red reserved and ADA stalls are not subject to lot closures and proper use is permitted during this time.

The Financial Services office, located in 201 Jardine Hall, will be temporarily closed from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 for staff development.

The Parking Services lobby and drive thru will close at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 for a staff meeting. Both will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28. Enforcement is still in effect during this time.

Heavy traffic is expected on levels two, three and four of the Rhatigan Student Center parking garage Monday, Oct. 27 for an event in the area. Students, faculty and staff should prepare in advance as they park on campus.

Student Wellness Center (Student Health, Counseling and Psychological Services, and HOPE Services) staff will have all-day professional development Friday, Oct. 24.

The Student Wellness Center will resume normal hours at 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27. Appointments can still be made through the online portals. In the event of an emergency, contact the University Police Department at 316-978-3450 for on-campus events. For off-campus events, call 911 for physical health/safety needs and 988 for mental health/safety needs.

Lot 24, the parking lot along 17th Street, will be closed Friday, Oct. 17 for an event. Due to the nature of this event the lot will need to be completely clear for this closure. Faculty and staff that typically park in this lot will need to park in other yellow lots during this time.

  • All road markings on North Yale Avenue
  • A couple of turn signals at Harvard Avenue and 17th Street
  • A new crosswalk going in on Perimeter Road at Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex and near Lot 7 by the Rhatigan Student Center
  • Two turn arrows at the Central Energy Plant
