Come show your support for Shocker rowing at the Plains Regional Regatta, where talented rowers from the Great Plains come to demonstrate their skill, strength and dedication out on the water. The regatta is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 5 at Boats and Bikes at 150 N. McLean Blvd.

Whether you’re a seasoned rowing enthusiast or just looking for an exciting day out, the Plains Regional Regatta has something for every.

2024 Shocker Sprints, February 17, Heskett Center Gymnasium, 9 AM - 12 PM, FREE FOR STUDENTS

Join Shocker Rowing at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 for its indoor rowing event, Shocker Sprints. Test your pre-spring racing fitness in the 2k event by registering and securing your spot on race day, or grab some friends and join the 1000m team event, where you compete against boats of four and race against other teams.

Get ready to dribble, shoot and score with Campus Recreation’s intramural basketball. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a newcomer to the game, this is a chance to join in on the basketball excitement here on campus. Simply sign up through the Wichita State Campus Recreation app:

The registration deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 24, and the league starts Jan. 29 in the Heskett Center Gymnasium

Shocker Rowing Class Race & Fun Row on October 28, 2023, 2 to 5pm, Learn2Row $30 per person

Come down to the Arkansas River from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at the RiverVista Boathouse, 150 N. McLean Blvd. with Shocker Rowing for the Class Race and Fun Row events.

The Class Races will start off the event with a competition between the freshmen and seniors, and ticket paying attendees will have the opportunity to learn to row on the water starting around 3:30 p.m.

Pumpkin Run Registration Prices are Increasing October 1st

Effective Oct. 1, registration prices for the Pumpkin Run will increase.

5K Run registration:

  • Current price: $30
  • New price starting Oct. 1: $35

Little Pumpkin Run Registration:

  • Current price: $17
  • New price starting Oct. 1: $18

Shocker rowing is excited to announce that the Plains Regional Regatta is coming April 23, and volunteers are needed to help make the event a success. The regatta brings together rowing teams from across the region, and Shocker rowing wants to ensure a safe and fun experience for all participants.
