Encourage students to attend the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships’s ScholarshipUniverse support event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6 in 257 Rhaitgan Student Center, Ashton/Bridges Room, to help them optimize their 2024-25 applications on its platform.

It will share tips and tricks for unlocking every scholarship dollar. Students should bring a laptop.

Join the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships as it celebrates Financial Aid Awareness Month with a variety of events during the month of February:

• Scholarship Universe Support – 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 6 in 257 RSC, Ashton/Bridges Room
• Love & Money – noon-2 p.m. Feb. 14 in 142 RSC, Harvest Room
• FAFSA Tour:
  • 1-3 p.m. Feb. 15 in 257 RSC
  • 4-6 p.m. Feb. 20 in 340 John Bardo Center 340
  • 4-6 p.m. Feb. 28 in 340 John Bardo Center
• Take the Leap with FinAid – 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Feb. 29 on the first floor RSC.

The deadline for New and Continuing Student Scholarship Applications for the 2024-25 academic year has been extended to April 1 on Scholarship Universe.

ScholarshipUniverse is the scholarship-matching tool for admitted and current Wichita State students. The tool connects Shockers to millions of dollars in both institutional and external scholarships based on their personal information.

The FAFSA Tour is coming to the Office of Online & Adult Learning from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 in Grace Wilkie Annex. Visit with your laptop and all needed materials, which can be found on the FAFSA webpage (wichita.edu/fafsa) to get help in your completion of the new 2024-25 FAFSA form.

Eating healthy can be hard while on a budget. Come join Shocker Financial Wellness from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24 on the first floor of the Rhatigan Student Center to learn the tips and skills to making that goal a reality.

Join the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships on its FAFSA Tour as it helps Shockers complete the 2024-25 FAFSA form. The office will have an open lab from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 in 220 Woolsey Hall.

Bring all required materials found on the FAFSA webpage (wichita.edu/fafsa). Follow the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships on Instagram and Facebook for information on other tour dates.

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will be closed Friday, Dec. 8 for staff development. For urgent questions, call 316-978-3430. Regular business hours will resume starting Monday, Dec. 11.

De-stress with the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 on the second floor of Jardine Hall. Stop by for hot cocoa, games and coloring.

While there, learn financial tips and about the new 2024-25 FAFSA that is opening by the end of the year.

With the final weeks of classes, join Shocker Financial Wellness for a financial coffee chat to start off the day. Stop by any time from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4 at the Woolsey Hall Cargill Cafe or on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Rhatigan Student Center Starbucks. Connect with the Shocker Financial Wellness team and ask any questions about finances for a $5 coupon for coffee.

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships and the Office of Online & Adult Learning invites adult learners to attend its “Steps to Unlock Every Dollar” event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29 in the Grace Wilkie Annex.

Meet with Heather Hill, financial aid advisor and fellow adult learner. At the come-and-go event, attendees will learn about federal aid, scholarships and other opportunities to help get the best out of their investment at Wichita State!
