Get ready to battle it out on the court in the Student Activities Council’s (SAC) dodgeball tournament from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 18 in the Heskett Center gymnasium.

Groups and individuals will form teams of six to eight and join a night of friendly competition. Teams will face each other in a bracket style competition until only one remains. The winning team will receive prizes, solidifying them as the SAC dodgeball campions.

The annual Drag Show, sponsored by the Student Activities Council (SAC), Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) and Spectrum: LGBTQ+ & Allies, is back this year with headliners DiDa Ritz and Calypso Jete Balmain at 8 p.m. Friday, April 5 in the Hughes Metropolitan Complex.

Join SAC, ODI and Spectrum LGBTQ+ & Allies for a night of glitz, glam and performances. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Student Activities Council (SAC) has made the decision to cancel the Tree of Hope event scheduled March 11-15.

Wichita State students who are interested in performing at the 14th annual drag show in April, sponsored by the Student Activities Council (SAC), Ambassadors for Diversity and Inclusion (ADI) and Spectrum: LGBTQ & Allies, can sign up online.

Organizers are seeking student drag artists to perform one or two five-minute sets. This is an opportunity for new and experience performers to showcase their talent. Students will be compensated based on their number of sets. Students can sign up on the website or on ShockerSync.

The Student Activities Council, Black Student Union and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion will celebrate Black History Month with a special maker’s market dedicated to showcasing Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in the Wichita community.

Shop at the market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20 and Wednesday, Feb. 21 on the first floor of the Rhatigan Student Center to celebrate and promote the talented vendors.

Play games and win awesome prizes like a laptop computer, coffee maker, microwave and more at the Student Activities Council (SAC) casino night set from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16 on the first floor of the Rhatigan Student Center.

Enjoy a full line up of games like blackjack, poker, roulette and slots. Anyone can play, but only students can win prizes.

Join the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) for a thought-provoking and empowering lunch seminar from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 in 142 Rhatigan Student Center tailored for LGBTQIA+ students representing under-represented cultures.

At the inclusive gathering, participants will celebrate the richness of the community while addressing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals. Together, participants will explore the intersectionality of experiences and discuss ways to foster understanding, respect and unity among all cultures and identities at Wichita State and post-graduation.
