Heart of KC Culture Crawl. Saturday, April 11th from 7:30am to 9:00pm. Register by April 3rd. $25 deposit

Join Student Engagement & Belonging, Student Activities Council, and Housing and Residence Life for a Kansas City adventure celebrating art, history and culture April 11.

Participants will visit the Nelson-Atkins Museum for a guided tour of Eastern art, experience the history of the Titanic at the historic Union Station’s interactive exhibit and explore Crown Center. Lunch and transportation will be provided to attendees. The event will be all day, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Sign up by Friday, April 3. Registration is $25.

Erin O’Bryan, CCC-SLP and associate professor in the Department Communication Sciences and Disorders, was:

  • Invited to be on the 2026 editorial boards for two academic journals, Seminars in Speech and Language, and Perspectives of the ASHA Special Interest Groups
  • Awarded the University Research and Creative Activity Award (URCA) in 2025 to support her research on communication partner training for adults with aphasia

Dr. Erin O’Bryan, CCC-SLP and associate professor in the Department Communication Sciences and Disorders, presented “Spontaneous Conversation in Person-centered Storytelling with a Care Partner” at the AIR Network inaugural meeting, a virtual global research forum hosted by University College London, on March 17, 2026.
