PSY 317: Prevention Sciences & Community Wellness is designed for future leaders, researchers and practitioners interested in wellness and mental health, this course examines the theory and applied practices of community wellness and prevention work.

Health, Outreach, Prevention and Education (HOPE) Services is presenting DCCCA’s one-hour naloxone administration course from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 21 in 203 Rhatigan Student Center, Lancelot Room, to the WSU community to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and respond to an overdose crisis using naloxone and other available resources.

Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids.

Students can sign up for trainings on the website, and staff/faculty can register via myTraining in their myWSU.

The training aims to help faculty and staff develop tools to reflect on how they engage with substances, stigma related to substance use disorder and how to best support students and members of their community.

Participants will receive a free Suspenders4Hope T-shirt on completion of the training.

Get free pizza when you get free testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia by giving a urine sample. Pizza is provided to all participants.

Cosponsored by Positive Direction and Shocker Sports Grill and Lanes, Pee for Pizza is by reservation only.
