Join the Wichita State University Advanced Practice Symposium, designed specifically for advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and physician associates (PAs) seeking the latest updates in clinical care, Dec. 5.

This year’s conference will feature expert-led sessions on mental health diagnosis and management, substance use disorder, cultural competency, obesity medicine, contract negotiation, and other topics relevant to advanced practice providers. Attendees will gain evidence-based insights to enhance their ability to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions.

The keynote speaker will tackle burnout and resilience in healthcare, delivering real-world tools to support provider well-being and purpose, and powerful insights into the future of advanced practice in an ever-changing healthcare landscape.

Are you a fall 2024, spring 2025 or summer 2025 WSU graduate? You can RSVP for the Spanish-Speaking Graduation Ceremony. The celebration aims to recognize graduates for their accomplishments and contributions to the WSU community. The celebration will be hosted in English, Spanish and Spanglish.

The ceremony is at 6 p.m. Friday, May 2 in 305/306 Rhatigan Student Center, Beggs Ballroom. Student check-in is from 5 to 5:45 p.m.

How do I RSVP?
Any graduating WSU student is able to RSVP for the second annual Spanish-Speaking Graduation Ceremony by filling out the RSVP form.

WSU’s Latine Faculty and Staff Association (LFSA) will host a Friendsgiving Party 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Wichita State Connect.

LFSA encourages attendees to bring a dish that reminds them of home and a non-perishable item. All donations will go towards the Shocker Support Locker.
