The College of Engineering invites students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members to run, walk or volunteer at the fifth annual Wichita State Engineering 5K at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 on the WSU campus. Proceeds support the College of Engineering Need-Based Scholarship Fund.

Whether you’re racing or lending a hand, your participation helps make this event a success.

The College of Engineering is looking for volunteers for this years’ third annual Wichita State Engineering 5k Saturday, Feb. 24.

Several volunteers are needed to help outline the race route where barricades will be placed. Volunteers will need to be at the John Bardo Center lobby by 8:15 a.m. on event day and will finish by 10:15 a.m., the race starts at 9 a.m. Volunteers will be provided a free T-shirt and breakfast.

The Staff Senate thanks everyone for coming to its staff social and for their support. Those who were unable to attend and would still like to receive a “Proud to be a Wichita State staff member” sticker, email Jacob Mendez at jacob.mendez@wichita.edu to have the sticker mailed.

 

To students who resided in the residence halls during the 2021-22 academic year and consider themselves a low-income student, consider participating in a research study to understand the social and academic integration of students at Wichita State.

Participation will include an initial introduction meeting followed by an individual interview that will last around 60 minutes. Participants will be asked to gather photos to explore their experiences on-campus. Participation in this study will be confidential and secure.

Each participant will receive a WSU T-Shirt and a $15 Amazon gift card upon completing their interview.
