Parking & Transportation Services has a position open for an administrative specialist. The right candidate will serve as a welcoming, front-facing resource for students, faculty, staff and visitors while supporting the day-to-day operations of the department. Customer service, cash handling and supervisory experience are key functions for this role.

Lot 41, the parking lot near Woolsey Hall, will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Friday, Sept. 25 for an event in the building. Faculty and staff who typically park in this lot will need to park in other yellow lots. The YMCA lot is not available for faculty, staff or event guest parking and could result in a citation.

The purpose of lot reservations is to help accommodate large groups of guests visiting campus for events or the event itself. Lot reservations are not to be used for WSU affiliates. Remember, visitors to campus can park without an ePermit up to three times each semester.

Red reserved and ADA stalls are not subject to lot closures, and proper use is permitted during this time.

A portion of Lot 35S, the parking lot along 17th Street near John Bardo Center, will be closed the afternoon of Wednesday, July 15 for an event. Faculty and staff who typically park in this lot will need to park in other yellow lots.

ADA stalls are not subject to lot closures and proper use is permitted during this time. Green lots are open for the summer unless otherwise noted, all other lots are still enforced.

Due to staffing levels, Parking Services will have altered hours July 20-22. They are as follows:

  • 8:30 a.m.-noon, open to in person and drive through traffic
  • Noon-1 p.m., closed
  • 1-4:30 p.m., open to drive through traffic only

Note that in-person payments in Banner/Student Account Suite cannot be accepted during the altered hours; those payment types will need to be made online or wait until regular business hours resume. Phone and email inquiries can still be made as usual during this time. Regular hours will resume Thursday, July 23.

Parking garage at Wichita State

The parking garage add-on ePermit for the second half of the year will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 1. Any current ePermit holder is eligible to purchase this add-on for $50. The add-on will allow ePermit holders to park on floor two, the ramp to three, floor three and the ramp to four without having to pay the hourly rate through Dec. 31.

This ePermit is for sale in person at the Parking Services building lobby or in the drive through on the north side of the building. Payment is to be with cash or check only and a limited amount of these ePermits will be made available. You must have a current ePermit on file or you will be required to buy one at the time of the add-on purchase.

Parking lot 40, the parking lot at the YMCA, is limited to two-hour parking and only for those actively using the YMCA’s facilities. Please consult the interactive parking map for other parking options on campus.

The north half of Lot 5 will be closed starting at noon on Monday, March 30 for an event at Eck Stadium on Tuesday, March 31. Any cars left in the lot after the closure will be issued a $50 event parking citation.
