The Heskett Center will revert back to its regular hours of operation beginning today, Aug. 22, the start of the fall semester. The hours of operation will be as follows:

  •  6 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Friday
  • 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday
  • 1-6 p.m. Sunday.
South Entrance closed for construction use north entrance until further notice

The Heskett Center south entrance in accessible due to construction beginning today, Aug. 1. Visitors are asked to use the north entrance until further notice.

The heskett center will be closed july 2-4 in observance of independence day we will reopen july 5 with normal hours .

Shocker Fit classes will have a new schedule beginning May 18 through Aug. 19. The schedule will include the following times:

  • F45 – noon and 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • GLIDEFIT – noon Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday

The classes are free for Wichita State students, faculty and staff with memberships to the Heskett Center.

Summer Massage Hours Saturday and Sunday 1-6

The last weekday to schedule a massage at the Heskett Center will be May 20. After this date, massages can only be scheduled 1-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Heskett Center will close for the Memorial Day weekend and no massages will be available at that time.

Boats and Bikes, a venue rental company that employs Shocker Rowing, will be open for the summer season May 27 and will be open daily 9 a.m.-sunset until August.

Customers can get a discount on rentals with their WSU ID. Rentals include: trikkes, scooters, bicycles, pedal boats, kayaks, S.U.P’s, and recreational rowing shells.

The Heskett Center will close at 5 p.m. Friday, May 6. This is due to the Campus Recreation Recognition Banquet. The building will reopen Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m.
